Dale Jean Goetzinger passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025 in La Grange, Texas, at the age of 95. Born on November 8, 1929, in Donna, Texas to Christian Goetzinger and Alice Spaulding. Dale's life was one marked by dedication, hard work, and a loving heart. He was a man who embodied the virtues of generosity, knowledge, and integrity.

Dale's journey began in the Rio Grande Valley, where he graduated from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School in 1948, a milestone that set the stage for a life of service and achievement. He was drafted into the army in 1951 and served 2 years. For over three decades, Dale worked in agribusiness. His career as a manager at a fertilizer company showcased his commitment to the land and the community that he so dearly loved. Dale's work ethic and leadership within the industry were a testament to his knowledge and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Dale was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Glenna Goetzinger for 67 years who preceded him in death in 2024. Together, they shared a life filled with love and mutual respect. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Kerry and her husband Brian Ryder and Gay and her husband Chuck Mazac. Known affectionately as PaPaw to his cherished grandchildren, April (Zac), Mandee (Adam), Wesley (Ashley), Kristy, and Rebekah (Aaron). He was also a proud great-grandfather to Glenn, Claire, Kate, Samuel, Harvey and Scarlett.

Dale was a member of New Life Methodist Church in La Grange. His passions extended beyond his professional and spiritual life. He was an avid citrus farmer and gardener and enjoyed being outdoors. Dale was handy with repairing his tractors and other farm equipment.

Additionally, Dale enjoyed western movies and classic country music.

As we bid farewell to Dale, we are comforted by the knowledge that his life was well-lived and that his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. We take solace in the promise of eternal life and the belief that Dale is now at peace.

His family would like to express their gratitude to the exceptional staff at Care Inn in La Grange.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to New Life Methodist Church or Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter. Both are located in La Grange, TX.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home, La Grange. Family will receive friends at this time. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the gazebo in the La Grange City Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St., La Grange, Texas. Family and friends can view and sign the guestbook online at www.lagrangefunerals.com.
