Dan E. Hostetler, 80, of 11878 Seager Hill Road, Conewango Valley, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital in Jamestown.
He was born April 23, 1945 in Enon Valley, Pennsylvania the son of the late Eli Y. and Martha B. (Shetler).Hostetler. Dan was a member of the Old Order of Amish and was a Rug Maker at Hostetler's Rug Shop in Conewango Valley and was a retired Dairy Farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Ada L. (Miller) Hostetler, a son; Eli D. (Fannie) Hostetler of Conewango Valley, a daughter; Clara D. (Joe E.) Miller of Cattaraugus, 23 grandchildren 54 Great Grandchildren. He is additionally survived by 3 sister; Amanda Yoder, Melinda Troyer and Emma Yoder and 5 brothers, Samuel, Eli, Emmanuel, Mose and John Hostetler.
Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary A. (Troyer) Hostetler, who died, February 4, 2013, two grand-daughters; Clara and Amanda Hostetler and a great grand-daughter, Katie Hostetler.
Funeral services will be held in the family home at 11878 Seager Hill Road, Conewango Valley, starting at 9:00 A.M. Thursday (July 10, 2025) Old Order Amish Bishop Eli Yoder will officiate. Visitation will be observed all day Wednesday in the family home. Burial will be in the East Amish Cemetery, North East Road, Conewango valley, NY.
