On July 3rd, 2025 Dan Usuriello sadly passed away, but not without a fight. Born January 29, 1961, he was the 7th of 9 children born to Vincent and Nicoletta Usuriello along with Vinny, Mary, Donna, Karen, Nick, Nancy, Theresa and John. They grew up a close-knit Italian family in Queens, NY with the large extended family spending summers on Long Island's Lake Panamoka, which Dan considered the best days of his life. He loved trucks at a young age, and followed his big brothers into working as a truck driver, driving 18-wheelers across the country. After a move to NJ, he also spent time living close to family in Union Beach, and worked alongside family driving a concrete truck with his brother Nick, and nephew Vincent. Dan and his partner Jill then settled back in Queens, NY with his sister Karen and brother-in-law Mike, and favorite dog Baxter AKA Widdles, where he finished his career driving trucks, and retired. He loved to go camping, fishing, riding go-karts and dirt bikes, boating and going to see the stock car races. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved music, and playing his bass guitar and seeing his favorite bands in concert, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad and the Ramones. He was always cool. He loved having a good time, and he did it with a smile on his face. Family was everything to Dan, and he spent his life doing what he loved, with the people he loved, and who loved him back. He was a proud Godfather to many including his special girls, Melanie, Jenna, Danielle and Savannah and as the family grew in size, so did his love for everyone. The loss we will feel without him can't be put into words.
Dan is survived by his loving siblings, Vinny (Luann) Usuriello, Mary (Butch) Sansone, Donna (Mike) Tillyer, Karen (Mike) Kovzelove, Nick (Pam) Usuriello, Nancy (John) Homlish, Theresa (John) McDonald, and John (Kelly) Usuriello; Uncle Andrew Cassone and Aunt Sue; his 14 nieces and nephews that he loved, Vincent, Brendan, John (Lynn), Melanie (Peter), Jay (Jeana), Nicholas (Laura), Jenna (Steve), Alicia, Jillian, Michael (Christina), Emily, Richard, Michelle (Chris), Danielle (Jeff); and his 25 great-nieces and nephews (and counting) and partner Jill.
Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Nicoletta; his niece, Nikki Marie; grandparents, Agnes, Nicholas, Faye and Dante; and aunts and uncles, Anthony, Josie, Dolly, Pete, Mary Anne, Danny, Marie, Charles, and Maryann C.
