West Warren – Daniel R. Jordan, 70, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Denise (Dronzek) Jordan as well as their sons, Kyle Jordan and his girlfriend, Alyson Cass of Oakland, Maine, Christopher Towlson and his partner Melissa Lopez of West Warren, and Michael Towlson and his girlfriend Attree Cummings of Gilbertville, along with four grandchildren, Aiden, Breanna, Makayla and Bentley Towlson. He was predeceased by his brother, Milton S. Jordan, Jr. He was born in Ware, son of the late Milton S. and Gloria R. Jordan.
Dan worked as diesel mechanic and operator at the former Ware Foundry for 35 years before it closed. He then worked as a mechanic at J.P. McCarthy & Sons Transportation in Brookfield for 10 years, and Loomis Armored in Westfield. Dan was all about cars and mechanics. When he was young, he participated in both mud and car racing, traveling to tracks in New York and New Hampshire. After an accident, "my last one," he turned to watching NASCAR races and Barrett-Jackson Car Auctions instead. Next to his wife and family, he loved his many pets over the years, including his current dogs, Lacey and Sadie. He also enjoyed his cruises to the Bahamas and Bermuda alongside his family, as well as camping in New Hampshire.
At his request, funeral services for Dan will be held privately. Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street, in West Brookfield is assisting his family with his arrangements.
