Daniel L. Miller, 71, of Ravenwood, Missouri, passed from this life on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri, after a brief illness.

Dan was born in Maryville, Missouri, on February 15, 1954, to Byron N. and Marlene J. (Pitzenberger) Miller, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

He graduated from Northeast Nodaway High School, Ravenwood, and had attended diesel mechanics school. He had worked many years in the maintenance department at LaClede Chain Manufacturing, Maryville.

He enjoyed farming and the land, he also liked to hunt, fish, and airplanes. He had received his private pilot's license in 1988 and was a member of the Maryville Flying Club. He had also been a member of the Ravenwood Fire and Rescue Squad. Dan was of the Methodist faith.

His parents and sister, Julie Taylor had preceded him in death.

He is survived by his long-time friend and companion, Monica Bodle, of Ravenwood. And his son, Carl (Karen) Miller, Ravenwood, his daughter, Jennifer Miller, his brother, David (Irma) Miller, Ravenwood, and 7 grandchildren, Cynthia Scott, Summer Swalley, Colton Swalley, Brea Miller, Lane Miller, Justin Miller, and Alexis Ritchie, and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Graveside services and burial will be at 1:00 PM, on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri.

Memorials in Dan’s name are suggested to the Ravenwood Fire and Rescue Squad.
