Nellie Darlene (Furr) Stidham, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Darlene was born to George and Nellie Furr on January 17, 1936 at Seiling, OK. She attended her 12 years of school at Seiling Public School and graduated with the Class of 1954. She was baptized in her teens and attended Seiling Methodist Church.
While living in Taloga, she was a charter member of the Just for Fun Pitch Club and enjoyed playing cards at the Taloga Senior Citizens on Thursday evenings.
Darlene enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed hearing and watching them in everything they were involved in. Darlene loved baking. You would catch her in the kitchen baking with her grandchildren many times. She was famous with her Italian Cream Cake. She also was a big fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.
She is survived by her son Dennis and wife, Linda, of Taloga, OK. Two grandsons, Derrick and wife, Heather, and Jeff Seal and wife, Savanna. One granddaughter, Nikki Salcido and husband, Omar. Two great granddaughters, Gracie Stidham and Jessi Salcido. Three great grandsons, Cannon Seal, Kamron Stidham, and Justice Salcido. Her sisters, Karen Lomax and Jo Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie Furr, her brothers Haskill, Floyd, Harold, and Dale Furr. One sister, Joyce Rice. Three brother-in-laws, Chauncey Rice, Stan Lomax, and Carl Robinson, and sister-in-law, Patty Furr.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
