Funeral service for Darrell Ray Hogan, age 66, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, at the funeral home.
Darrell passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
He was born December 26, 1958, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Lillie Fern (Marshall) Hogan & William (Bill) Franks where later on he was adopted by Gerald J. Hogan. While growing up, Darrell moved around with his family with his dad (Gerald) serving in the U.S. Army. He graduated high school at Waynesville, Missouri. His working life included a job with a Coca-Cola bottling plant. He was also a truck driver. He worked as a farmhand for Mike Woodall for over 20 years. He worked in various construction positions, but his primary work was a paint and drywall finisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Gerald J. Hogan and Lillie Fern (Marshall) Hogan; and his maternal grandparents: Leon and Violet Marshall; also his paternal grandparents Austin and Leonna Franks.
Survivors include a son: Brandon Hogan and wife Julynda, of Frederick; a sister: Geri Sheffield and husband Marty, of Lawton; a brother: Damon Hogan, also of Lawton; and three grandchildren: Amanda Connywerdy, Haven Hogan, and Alexis Hogan; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family during this time at Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, 111 N. 11th Street, Frederick, OK 73542.
