Darrell D. Williams, 68, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Darrell was born on April 27, 1956, in Jackson, Ohio, to his mother Mabel Marie (Finley) Hart and she preceded him in death. Darrell was married to Linda Russell 1974 in Waverly, Ohio, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Darrell is also survived by his 3 children: Derrick Williams of Upper Sandusky, Shannon (Cynthia) Williams of Michigan, Courtney (Matthew) Ross of Chicago, 7 grandchildren: Destini Williams, Skyler, Williams, Adrionna Williams, Deakon Davis, Oliver Ross, Norman Ross, and Mercury Ross. Darrell is also survived by 1 brother, Timothy (Jodi) Hart, and 3 sisters: Barb Jones, Carol (Russ) Hoagland, and Diana (Roger) Beekman.
Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers, Michael and Daniel Hart, and his sister Lavonda Hart.
Darrell worked as a heavy machinery operator for Lake Erie Construction Company in Norwalk, Ohio, from 1980 – 2005. Darrel was a member of the Laborers' Union Local 574.
For hobbies, Darrell enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking his coffee and visiting with friends and family. Darrell was very handy and enjoyed working on cars and various projects around the house. Darrell was very generous, and he loved to help people. Darrell also enjoyed going to casinos to play slots.
A funeral service for Darrell Williams will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Pastor Larry Nunley.
Visitations will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
