Daryl Lee Rhodes, 58, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at his residence.  He was born May 28, 1967 in Zanesville, the son of the late William C. and Carolyn (nee: Spears) Rhodes.  Daryl served our country and defended our freedom as a US Navy Seal 1988-1992 during Operation Desert Storm. After returning to civilian life, he was an employee of The Longaberger Company for fourteen years and was currently employed at The Boeing Company for the past six years.  Daryl was a kind, caring and loving man. If he loved you, he loved you deeply, especially his beloved grandchildren. He was an enthusiastic college football fan, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. Daryl was an avid movie lover.  Left behind to mourn his passing and carry on his legacy is his beloved fiancée, Dorothy Mobley; his adored children and their spouses, Jenna Nicholas (Justin) and Tyler and McKenzie Rhodes; his beloved grandchildren, Camron, Gavin and Ashton Nicholas; his great-granddaughter, Emberlyn Rae; his bonus children, Jessica, Amanda and Ginny; his bonus grandchildren, Jasper, Emma, Aiden, Ashlyn, and Axton; his step-mother, Charlene Rhodes; his siblings, Tina Booher, Barbara (Robert) Eltringham, Billie Carr, Rolland (Jennifer) Booher, Warren (Tashia) Booher and Robert (Renee) Booher; his dogs, Brutus and Max; his best friend, Jeff Chandler and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Daryl was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Mike Carter.  Following cremation, family and friends may gather on Saturday, June 21, 11 AM-12 PM at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville where a Memorial service to celebrate Daryl’s life will take place at 12 noon at the funeral home. Daryl will be laid to rest in Soldiers’ Circle in Crooksville Cemetery.
