Funeral Mass for David Allen "Cookie" Ducote, Sr. will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Monday, October 27th, 2025 beginning at 12:00pm with Fr. Charlie Ray officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Mausoleum #2.
"Cookie", age 86, passed away at Rivière de Soleil Community Care Center on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kelly Woodley (C.J.), Jamie Ducote (Kathryn), and David Ducote, Jr. (Mary Faye). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cody Ducote, Elizabeth Ducote, Wesley Ducote, Kimberly Ducote, Landon Woodley, Tyler Woodley, Taylor Broussard, and Amanda Landherr; great-grandchildren, Emry Monroe, Sawyer Ducote, Kase Gaspard, Creed Tompson, Tucker Broussard, Tate Broussard, Luka Landherr, Rori Woodley, and Wade Woodley.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ducote Broussard; parents, Anton E. & Martha E. Perry Ducote; siblings, Perry A. Ducote and Fay Guillory; and the mother of his children, Joyce Hodges Ducote.
Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Monday, October 27th, 2025. The Holy Rosary will be recited before the funeral mass at 11:40am.
