David Michael Edmond, 71, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:25 am, Friday, July 4, 2025, at The Waters of Wabash East in Wabash. He was born on August 4, 1953, in Wabash, to Bobbie Jean and Velva Delores (Lands) Edmond.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of Wabash High School and received his Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University. He married Dawn Miller in Wabash on May 6, 1978. Mike worked at Wabash Alloys retiring after more than 30 years. He attended the Wesleyan Church and Southside Free Will Baptist Church both in Wabash. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, especially Stephen King novels, playing with the kids, and especially loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Edmond of Wabash; two children, David Michael (Amanda) Edmond, Jr. and Andrea Nicole Breske, both of Wabash; eight grandchildren, Megan (Jordan) Best, Eli Edmond, Ian Edmond, Liam Edmond, Lyllian Edmond, Evelyn Walden, Cadence Breske, and Wren Stodgell; and great-granddaughter, Everleigh Best, all of Wabash; sister, Pat Ewick of Greenwood, Indiana; brother, Chuck (Rhonda) Edmond of Wabash; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Rick Edmond.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 10-11 am Wednesday, at the funeral home.
