David Roy Fleming, age 74, peacefully departed this life on June 19, 2025, at his home in rural Keyes, Oklahoma. He leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Born to Carl and Bonnie Jean (Whisennand) Fleming, he was born on November 30, 1950, in Elkhart, Kansas

A graduate of Keyes High School, David went on to earn his Associate's Degree before dedicating himself to his true passion—farming. He viewed farming as a profession and a continuation of his family’s generations-old legacy. Known for his quiet nature and dry sense of humor, David had a profound ability to connect with those close to him. His family was his joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them, especially his beloved grandchildren.

In May 1992, David married Rebecca "Becky" Ann (Wiggins) Fleming, and their bond, which originated in 1976, exemplified a deep and enduring love. Together, they nurtured one another and supported each other through life’s journey.

David is survived by his loving wife, Becky Fleming; two sons, Chad Fleming and his wife Crystal of Elkhart, KS, and Todd Fleming of Lawton, OK; one brother, Martin Fleming and his wife Susan of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Lynn Downs and her husband Herky of Amarillo, TX; and seven beloved grandchildren: Madilyn, Cody, Ayden, Morgan, Cory, Gavin, and Trew; one niece, April; two nephews, Kevin and Dusty, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He has been preceded in death by his parents.

In honor of David’s memory, a memorial fund has been established for Morton County EMS. Contributions can be made payable to Morton County EMS and mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.

Following David’s wishes, no formal services will be held as cremation has taken place. Robson Funeral Home of Elkhart is handling the arrangements.

David Roy Fleming will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
