David Lee Scrougham, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Edinburgh on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
Born in Brown County on January 12, 1959, David was the son of the late Carl Edwin Sr. and Ruth Agnes (Allen) Scrougham. He attended Indian Creek High School and went on to work as a skilled painter for many years.
David was a member of the Morgantown General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. He found great joy and comfort in reading his Bible and enjoyed spending time outdoors rabbit hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving siblings: Sarah (Richard) Snider of Brown County, Violet Scrougham of Morgantown, Doris Scrougham of Morgantown, Carletta (Bryan) Neal of Morgantown, Brenda Stoddard of Morgantown, Arlinda (Jim) Snider of Trafalgar, Cheryl Blankenship of Poteau, OK, and Donna DeVore of Morgantown. David is also remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Scrougham; and his siblings, Carl Scrougham Jr., Leona Rhodes, Linda Scrougham, Jim Scrougham, and Carla Fisher.
In accordance with David's wishes, he will be cremated. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
