Debra Jean Davis, 73, Higbee, MO, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at her home. She bravely fought Glioblastoma since May of 2024.
Debbie was born on August 7, 1952, in Quincy, IL, to Raymond and JoAnn Tibbets Bentley. She graduated from Quincy Senior High in 1970. After graduation she worked for Motorola.
Debbie married Richard Davis on January 20,1973, in Quincy, IL. They moved to Moberly, MO, in 1983, and she worked in several different housekeeping positions. In 1985, the family moved to Higbee. Debbie retired from the Super 8 motel in 2014. She enjoyed spending time with her family, feeding the birds and squirrels, and reading. She also loved Disney, especially Mickey Mouse.
Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Davis; both parents, Raymond and JoAnn Bentley; brother. George Bentley; and stepmother, Nadine Bentley.
Debra is survived by son, Alan (Julie) Davis of Atlanta, MO; son, Tony (Erin) Davis of Moberly, MO; granddaughter, Michelle Bentley of Moberly, MO; grandson, Derek Davis of Huntsville, MO; three step granddaughters, Joie Holden of Houston, MO; Winter Lee of Houston, MO and Summer Proctor of Atlanta, MO. She’s also survived by brother, Brian (Violet) Bentley of Wentzville, MO; sister, Karen Green of Streator, IL; and stepsister, Donna Deege of Magnolia, TX. There are also two home health aides that later became family, Jo Timmons and Ashley Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
A Memorial Visitation will be held in honor of Debra on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 12 - 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel, Moberly, MO.
