DAVID W. TERHUNE
WADESVILLE, INDIANA
David "Axle" Wayne Terhune, 54, of Wadesville, Indiana, born January 21, 1971, to John Terhune and Goldie Pearl (Dockery) Brooks in Los Angeles, California, passed away, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his home in Wadesville, Indiana.
He graduated from North Posey High School in 1990 and worked for KMI from 1990 to 2005. He joined the Bricklayers Local 4 Indiana and Kentucky Union in 2005 and worked there until 2023 when he retired.
David enjoyed bricklaying, watching NASCAR racing and was a Colts fan. He loved watching his children play sports in high school and enjoyed watching them grow up and follow their dreams. He loved Sunday football at the Neuffer's Pole Barn and sitting in his barn having a cold beer with his friends. He was always ready to babysit for all his honorary grandchildren: Rhenna, Maverick, Jensen and Hadley along with his grand dogs.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years: Andrea Lee (Bullington) Terhune; children: Taylor Perry, Haley and Reece Terhune; mother: Goldie Pearl (Dockery) Brooks; step-father: Jeff Brooks; brother: Jim Terhune; sister: Becky Fehrenbacher (Carl); nephew: Bret Bullington; niece: Alex Jones (Brody); great niece: Hadley Jones; mother-in-law: Kathy Bullington and a brother-in-law: Brad Bullington.
Preceding him in death were his father: John Terhune; father-in-law: Larry Bullington and a brother-in-law: Nick Bullington.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
