Deanna Rouse Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 14, 2024.
Deanna Marie Rouse passed away in Jayton, Texas on October 11th, 2024 at the age of 69. Deanna was born on December 6th, 1954 in Kinsley, Kansas to Richard Duane and Evelyn Marie Harris. She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1972.

Deanna was most known for her friendliness and strong work ethic. She had a successful career in retail management in Dodge City, Kansas; and later Wichita, Kansas. Deanna enjoyed reading her bible, listening to Amy Grant, and spending time with her family.

Deanna moved to Jayton, Texas in 2009 to be closer to her daughter and three granddaughters who adored her. Deanna's passing was unexpected but her family takes great comfort that she had a full and happy life passing peacefully in her home.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Evelyn Harris.

She is survived by her daughter Metessa Thomas and husband Bryan of Spur, Texas; three granddaughters Chrissy Morris (Austin), Breyanna Thomas, and Kloe Thomas; two great-granddaughters Everley and Charlotte; and three brothers, twin Doug (Lynn) Harris, Mitch (Renee) Harris and Scott (Joseph) Harris.

Graveside services for Deanna were held 2:00PM Wednesday October 16, 2024 at Steele Hill Cemetery with twin brother Doug Harris officiating under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home, Spur, TX.
