Deborah J. Biesecker, 66, of Elsie, passed away July 6, 2025, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.
Deb was born July 4, 1959, at McCook, Nebraska, to John and Vivian (Kinkaid) Collins. She grew up in Southwest Nebraska and attended school in Grant.
On July 26, 1978, Deb married Larry D. Biesecker at Keystone, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Elsie, where they raised their family. Deb was a homemaker and caregiver. After raising her children, she discovered a passion for the nursing field, starting as a nurse's aide at the Perkins County Hospital. She then obtained her LPN license and worked at North Platte for several years. She also worked at various community medical clinics in the surrounding area over the years.
Deb enjoyed a simple life centered around her family. She loved cooking, taking care of her flowers, and listening to music. Her birthday was on the Fourth of July, and many of her special birthday memories were interwoven with fireworks and family. Deb's favorite holiday of all was Christmas, which was an occasion for cooking and baking treats and candy for the holidays.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Elsie; children, Amy (Karl) Neumeister of Kearney, and James (Lael) Biesecker of Imperial; grandchildren, Matthew Tinkham, Dakota (Isaiah) Antillon, and Thea Neumeister; Kirsten and Kenyan Biesecker; great-granddaughter, Raylene; mother, Vivian of Oak Grove, MO; siblings, Lina (Doug) Highland, Katrina (Ron) Pack; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her father, John Collins; sibling, David Collins; and son-in-law, Steven Tinkham.
Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Elsie Methodist Church, with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Elsie Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant.
A memorial has been established in Deb's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com, where the services will be streamed live.
