STEWARTSTOWN– Deborah M. Lynch, of Stewartstown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated educator, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 61 in Lebanon, N.H., with her beloved husband by her side.
Born on Dec. 28, 1963, in West Stewartstown, Debbie devoted her life to family and education. For over 35 years, she worked in the local school districts, where she touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues. As a respected principal, she led with compassion, patience, and a steady hand-always putting students and staff first.
Whether serving as a teacher or administrator, she brought compassion, patience, and integrity to everything she did. Her unwavering commitment to the success and well-being of her students left a lasting impact that continues to ripple through the community.
The school was more than her career. She was a loving mother who raised her children with kindness and strength, a loyal friend who always had time to listen, and a steady presence who gave her all to those she cared about. Her warm smile, wise counsel, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Outside of her career, Debbie lived with a spirit of fun and adventure. She loved camping, relaxing by the pool with a good book or great conversation, and enjoying the simple joys of a shopping trip with family or friends. She had a warmth that drew people in, and a quiet strength that made everyone feel safe and loved.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Jim, her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jason Maurais, her son and daughter-in-law Travis and Ashlie Lynch, three beautiful grandchildren, Rylie, Ainsley, and Noah, two brothers, David and his wife Julie and Danny and his wife Cheryl, her nieces and nephews, as well as a legacy of lives enriched through her work and love.
Deb is predeceased by her parents, Freeman Colby in 1974 and Mildred (Shallow) Colby in 2014.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A memorial service will be held the next morning, Saturday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at the Pittsburg School gymnasium, with a celebration of her life to follow.
