Debra Delena Acosta, 68, of Amarillo, TX passed away July 23, 2025.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Debra was born October 15, 1956 in Dumas, TX to AV and Hattie Ethel Harris. She grew up in Sunray, TX and graduated from Sunray High School in 1975. She worked in the accounting department at Taylor Petroleum and Miller Paper Company. Family was the center of her world, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Debra will be remembered for her unforgettable stories and always reminding her children to “remember who you are.”
She is preceded in death by her son, Blake Vasquez; husband, Mario Acosta; her parents, AV and Hattie Ethel Harris; and brothers, Marion Dean Harris and Richard Harris.
Debra is survived by her children, Travis Vasquez (Lauryn), Tyson Vasquez (Somer), Adria Acosta, and Marcos Acosta (Lindsey); grandchildren, Aubrey, Hunter, Jayton, Autumn, Emma, Cain, Talon, Mady, and Jagger; great-grandchildren, Annalise, Luca, Cas, and Waylon; and siblings, Don Harris and Rita Upton.
