Deloris Dugger Hankins, age 79, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her home. She was born September 30, 1945 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late James W. Dugger and Bessie Gilliham Dugger. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Searcy.
Deloris, affectionately known to many as Sissy, loved sewing, quilting, needlework, and crocheting. She would make things for various charities such as pillow cases, and beanies for children at Children's Hospital and in foster care. She would make blankets for the homeless and senior citizens, and make teddy bears for children in DHS.
Sissy is preceded in death by her husband B.W. Hankins; her parents; two brothers, Tommy Dugger and Randy Dugger; and brother in law, Joe McCafferty.
She is survived by three sisters, Gina McCafferty of Granite Falls, North Carolina, Tonya Dugger Parker (Paul) of Searcy, Arkansas, and Alice Dugger of Greenwood, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own children. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
The family wants to acknowledge and thank Dr. Koch and all the nurses at the Cancer Center as well as her hospice nurse, Keely, along with her church family and everyone who showed her love and kindness during this time.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the Women's Ministry or Care Team Ministry at First Assembly of God, PO Box 902, Searcy, AR 72145
