Denise Mae Moore, 61, of Oxford, NY, passed away on July 6, 2025. Born on August 19, 1963, in Constableville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harriet Belle Capron and Walter Joseph Moscicki. Denise's life was marked by her deep love for her family and her unwavering commitment to those she held dear. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, whose compassion and generosity were felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Denise married Gary Lee Moore on April 3, 1980, in Boonville, NY, and together they built a life grounded in family, faith, and love. Denise was the proud mother of Adam Moore, Benjamin Moore (wife Sarah), and Makayla Moore, as well as a grandmother to Evan Moore, who brought her immense joy. Denise had a special gift for making people feel loved and cared for. Whether through her beautiful quilts, which she crafted with care and passion, or the countless meals she prepared for family gatherings, Denise always put others first. She took great pride in hosting large holiday meals, filling her home with warmth, laughter, and the scent of delicious food. Denise’s dedication to others extended far beyond her immediate family. She worked with special needs children in the Oxford schools, providing care, encouragement, and support to those who needed it most. She also served as a Girl Scout troop leader in Oxford for many years, helping young girls grow, learn, and develop lifelong skills. She was a past member of the East Pharsalia Emergency Squad, Auxiliary, and Fire Department. Her nurturing spirit also extended into her home, where she and Gary provided foster care to children, offering them a safe and loving environment. Through these efforts, Denise touched countless lives and gave her time and heart to helping children in need of a guiding hand. Her caring nature and commitment to others left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Denise was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Belle Capron (d. November 21, 1997), her father, Walter Joseph Moscicki (d. January 21, 2009), and her brothers, Eric Moscicki (d. October 13, 2012) and Ed Moscicki (d. April 2, 1988). She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Lee Moore; her children, Adam Moore, Benjamin Moore (wife Sarah), and Makayla Moore; her cherished grandson, Evan Moore; and her brothers, Gary Moscicki (wife Julie), David Moscicki (wife Melinda), and Jeff Moscicki. Denise will be remembered for her boundless love, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich, NY, on Monday, July 14th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM and a Celebration of Life.
