With heavy hearts but hope in Jesus, we announce the passing of Denise Taylor, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister, a proud granny and a loyal friend. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13th at the age of 69, after a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Denise was a woman full of fire, faith, and fierce love. She was married for 52 wonderful years to the love of her life, Donald Taylor, and their bond was a testimony of commitment, strength, and true devotion. Together they built a beautiful family - her greatest treasure.
She loved her daughter and absolutely lit up around her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Whether she was spoiling them with love, or giving them just the right amount of sass, a sharp wit, but always loving with everything she had. They knew they were her whole world.
Denise, had a special way of loving - one that included plenty of aggravation, teasing, and giving people she cared about a hard time (all in good fun, of course). If she teased you, you knew you were loved. Her quick wit, orneriness, and sense of humor kept everyone laughing and on their toes. She never had a problem saying what was on her mind and taking up for her family and friends.
She walked through life with strength, humor, and a stubborn streak; but beyond that there was a deep faith in Jesus Christ. She knew where her true home was, and now rests in His presence - healed, whole, and rejoicing. We take comfort knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Jo Dean and J.C. Favors, and her brother Joe Raye. What a reunion that must be! We know heaven is a little livelier now that she's there, and her joy is complete in the presence of her Savior.
Though our hearts ache, we know this is not goodbye forever, but simply "see you later". She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a faith that that lives on in all of us. She is survived by husband Donald of Borger, daughter Christina Green and husband Randy of Borger, brother John Favors and wife Carol of Grosebeck,Texas, nephews, Chris Favors and fiancé Melissa, and great nephew Hudson Favors of Houston, Texas, Cody Favors and wife Madison of Hutto, Texas. Denise is also survived by her 4 grandchildren Hannah, Lydia, Josiah, and Rachel Green as well as great granddaughter Magnolia ("MJ").
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
In honor of her memory, the family asks that you hug your loved ones a little tighter and share a story that makes you laugh a little louder. Love a little deeper - just like she would have wanted.
