Dennis Peck Obituary

Dennis E. Peck, 71, of Auburn, NH, died Saturday July 12, 2025 at the Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA from complications of the Powassan Virus which was caused by a tick bite. He was born on July 30, 1953 in Haverhill, MA, a son of the late Nathaniel and Natalie (Thompson) Peck. He had been a resident of Auburn since 1986, formerly living in Haverhill, MA. Dennis had been employed as a maintenance mechanic for General Mills in Methuen, MA for 40 years. After retirement he worked for Sunrise Farms in Brentwood, NH until his passing.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Deborah Peck of Auburn; his daughter, Jennifer Matteau and her husband Dennis of Pittsfield, NH; and his son Kevin Peck and his wife Jamie of Londonderry, NH; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Alexander, Alyssa, Callie and Mya; one great grandson, Brycen and one great grandson "on the way"; and two sisters, Linda Sotera of Bradford, MA, and Brenda Vlahakis of Rumford, ME.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 1 - 3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH.
