Dessa Edwards Caylor Obituary

Mrs. Dessa Lucinda Edwards Caylor, age 97 of Fairmount, Georgia departed this life Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Wildwood Healthcare in Talking Rock, Georgia. She was born July 3, 1928 in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Andrew Joseph and Viola Jones Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband Loye Albert Caylor, son John W. Caylor, brothers, Anson C. Edwards, John Leonard Edwards, William Barnwell Edwards, sisters Bessie Freelove Edwards Cochran, Lois Edwards Walraven.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Jimmy Kelley of Jasper, GA; grandchildren, John Marshall and Nicole Caylor, Kristi and Adam Payne, Mindi and Brian Craig, Ginger and Corey Pittman, Julie Bozeman; great grandchildren, Alison, Samantha, Ella Blair, Jonah, Lillie, Sophie, Maggie, Josie, Clay; nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dessa L. Caylor will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Pastor Tim Reid officiating. Interment will follow in the Hinton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers Mrs. Caylor requested donations be made to an animal shelter or a church of your choice.
