Born May 24, 1964, in Fontana, CA, to the late Lowell Dean Heaton and Carol Sue Clark Heaton who survives of rural Charleston, Dewayne was a welder by trade and enjoyed camping, cooking, fishing, football and Nascar.
On June 25, 1984, he married the love of his life, Jeri Lynn Bodden, and she survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is his son, Kenneth (Samantha) Heaton of Jackson, MO; his daughter, Erica Heaton of New Madrid, MO; two brothers, Kelly (Melinda) Heaton of Sikeston, MO and Darrell (Deanna) Heaton of Piedmont, MO; his sister, Lori (Enis) Roach of rural Charleston, MO; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Conn will officiate.
