Brooksville-Diana Lee (Wood) Buerkley, 86, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1938 to the late Garnett and Aldina (Honan) Wood. She was a member of Brooksville United Methodist Church. She has made silks for people all over the United States and Canada, once known as the "Seamstress to the Stars". She continued to promote the Hackney breed. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Buerkley who passed away July 20, 2010. She is survived by her son, Tim (Marla) Buerkley of Augusta, KY; five grandchildren, Kirby Ross, Courtney Hesler, Kirstie Buerkley, Haley Welsh, and Hayden Buerkley; nine great grandchildren, Carter Buerkley, Weston Hesler, Maddox Hesler, Nolan Hesler, Bentley Schweizter, Case Schweitzer, Graysen Fields, Hudsen Kersey, and Arthur James Welsh; two brothers, Leroy Wood and Garry Wood; and Haley and Hayden's mother, Lisa Buerkley. She was preceded in death by her son, Joey Buerkley. Funeral will be 2 pm on Monday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville. Burial will be at Hamilton Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope. Condolences may be sent to MooreAndParkerFh.com
