Diana Louise Carpenter, age 77, of Earth, Texas, Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Lubbock. She was born May 18, 1948 in Fresno, California to Carl and Loreta (Truelock) Gregory. She married Jerry Carpenter in Earth on June 14, 1969.
Diana was a proud graduate of Springlake High School, where she earned All-State honors in basketball. She spent many years as a dedicated secretary at Earth Pump until her health required her to step away from work. Though her illness affected her physically, it never touched her spirit. She faced each day with unwavering positivity, offering encouragement to others and sharing her sharp wit and well-timed humor. A devoted mother and grandmother, Diana cherished time with her family-especially her beloved grandchildren. She found great joy in their company and in the fellowship of friends. A loyal sports fan, she loved cheering on the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Carlton Morris Gregory and Tommy Gregory; and a sister, Carolyne Stephens.
Diana is survived by her husband, Jerry; her son, Craig Carpenter and his wife, Jennifer of Midland, Texas; her daughter, Cristi Paulk and her husband, Bill of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Linda Short and her husband, Phillip of Monet, Missouri, Vicky Sollis and her husband, John of Lubbock, Texas and Peggy Jones and her husband, Brent of Sulphur, Oklahoma; and her favorite three grandchildren, Connor Benson, Thomas Carpenter and Joslynn Carpenter.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of the South Plains, Elizabeth and Stephanie for their compassion and kindness. They suggest memorials be sent to Hospice of the South Plains, 4413 82nd Street, Ste. 135, Lubbock, Texas, 79424.
