Diane Brightwell Brantley passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA, at age 77, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom. Born on March 1, 1948, in Moultrie, GA, Diane grew into a woman whose presence was a beacon of warmth in the lives of everyone she touched.
A celebration and memorial to Diane's life will be held at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, located at 310 North St W, Vidalia, GA, on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at 11:00am, led by Pastors Fred White and Roger Sims. A visitation will take place an hour before the memorial service.
The pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Caleb White, Brantley White, Campbell White, Bishop Campbell, Anthony Martino, Daniel Martino, and Sterlynn Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Community Hospice of Vidalia, PO Box 2277, Vidalia, GA 30475 to continue their mission of providing compassionate care to patients and their families.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband, William Riley Brantley Jr; her son, Clint Campbell and wife, Toni; her daughters, Katrina Campbell White and husband, Jarrett, and Allison Brantley Martino and husband, Edward; her brother, Charlie E. "Eddie" Brightwell Jr. and wife, Susan; her sister, Gail Brightwell Lott; grandchildren, Caleb White, Brantley White, Campbell White, Bishop Campbell (Destin), Anthony Martino, and Daniel Martino; and great-granddaughter, Sterlynn Campbell. She also leaves behind countless numbers of cherished family members and friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Holloway Brightwell and Charlie Edward "Ed" Brightwell, and son, Richard Riley Brantley.
Diane was born in Moultrie, GA, and attended Okapilco Elementary School and Moultrie High School, graduating with the class of 1966. Diane's career spanned years of service, working with the Colquitt County Georgia Extension Service, the People's Bank of Lyons, GA, the Georgia Department of Corrections in McRae, Ga, and the Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, GA, before retiring. Diane married the love of her life, Riley Brantley, in November 1991. Diane has been a resident of Lyons, GA for over 34 years, where she was an active and dedicated member of the Vidalia-Lyons Moose Lodge #1281, serving the community and volunteering anytime she was needed. Diane was a faithful Christian and dearly loved the Lord.
Diane Brantley was a guiding light and unparalleled source of laughter to her family, friends, and loved ones. She is remembered and cherished as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
