Diane Dietemann Craig, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Mr. Eugene Dietemann and Mrs. Claira Hilton Dietemann, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 29, 1934, Diane led a life rooted in warmth, family, and resilience.
A graduate of Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware, Diane excelled both academically and athletically playing basketball and meeting the love of her life, John Craig. Together, they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage and a devotion that inspired everyone who knew them.
Diane lived in many places throughout her life, including West Chester, PA; Sun City Bluffton, SC; and most recently in Jasper Ga.. In each home, she cultivated friendship, joy, and belonging. She was an avid tennis player whose team earned third place nationally in the 55-and-older category, a proud achievement reflecting her boundless energy and team spirit.
Her hands were never idle-whether knitting, cross-stitching, or holding a deck of cards for a bridge game. But it was her heart that truly defined her: she never missed a moment in her children's lives, offering unconditional support and always finding something kind to say about everyone she met.
Diane also had a deep appreciation for music, and she brought that same rhythm and harmony to her relationships and daily life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband John, and her brother Ronald Dietemann. She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Steve (Kathy) Craig, Brian (Darlene) Craig, and Christopher (Jami) Craig, each of whom carry forward her legacy of love and dedication.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date in Pennsylvania, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
Diane's life was a song filled with grace, compassion, and joy-and her melody will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.,
