Diane L. Hicks age 61 of New Lenox, IL passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2025 at home. Diane was born in Berwyn, IL to the late Joseph B. and Dorothea (nee Kriz) Lyznicki. Cherished wife of Scott Hicks, loving Mother of daughter Lesley-anne (fiance Nick Runyard) Hicks, and son Stuart Hicks; dear sister of Daniel (the late Ruth Ann) and Betsy Lyznicki, James (Carole), Linda (Paul) Pizzo, Nancy Cox, John (Tina), Joseph (Mary); fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her brother Mark and sister in law Ruth Ann Lyznicki. Diane was a graduate of The University of Illinois earning a bachelors degree in education before getting her masters degree from Governors State University. Diane taught education in school district 92 for 35 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd New Lenox, IL on Wednesday July 23, 2025 from 3-8pm. Chapel prayers will be the following morning at Kurtz at 9:30am, with Funeral Mass to follow at St Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL.
