Diane Tackett, age 82, of Carleton, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at her residence.
Born on November 29, 1942 in Ashland, Kentucky, she was the daughter of George and Betty (Wages) McClanahan. On January 13, 1962 she married Gerald Tackett in Kentucky.
She was employed with Monroe Community Opportunity Program as a Senior Director for 12 years, until retiring in 2014.
Diane was a member of Flat Rock Church of Christ. If Diane could be remembered for anything, it was her love for fishing, especially with her husband. They were known to take weeks long trips to Canada and the Upper Peninsula to go fishing. She also enjoyed camping, and gardening. She was a very family oriented woman that truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, George McClanahan, mother, Betty McClanahan, husband, Gerald Tackett, sister, Sandy Mobley and brother, Darrell Dawson.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Greg) Harper, Gerald (Christine) Tackett, Jr., brother, Kent (Karen) McClanahan, grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Marshall, Stephanie (Michael) Revard, Eddie Gutierrez, Heather (Jeremy) Anderson, Bradley (Nicole) Tackett, 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 12:00 pm. Minister Timothy J. Dunn will officiate the service. Burial will be in Carleton Cemetery, Carleton, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation.
