Diane Tollefson Obituary

Diane was born in Wausau on May 13, 1942 to Owen and Gladys Gering. She graduated from Wausau East High School in 1960 and went on to work in the Real Estate Business with her father.

She married Donald Tollefson (now deceased) on May 13, 1966, and later, was with her companion, Jim Jerez for over 25 years.

Diane is survived by her daughter Jennifer Kaye(Warren), Denver,Co., and their daughter, Sydney(who Diane loved so much), her son, Justin Tollefson, and sister, Wendy Lombardo, both of Wausau. In addition, her survivors include nieces Sarah, Bekah, and Hannah, nephew, Alex, and their 11 children, who Diane always cared so much about. She also is survived by her "Gering Family" cousins who would get together for their Sam's Pizza Dinners whenever they visited.

Diane's life journey included 60 years in the real estate profession working with her Dad, Owen, and her husband, Donald, and then moving on to Jack Williams Real Estate, Century 21, and Action Realty. Diane had several friends in Real Estate and she looked forward to the Thursday lunches with them.

The last 10 years also found Diane enjoying working with the children and Staff at the Montessori School of Wausau.

Throughout her life, besides her time spent with family and work, Diane thoroughly enjoyed puttering around in her garden, searching for antiques, or just relaxing with a good book.

Diane's wish was to have no service, however, family and friends are invited to an informal Celebration of Diane, on Sunday,

July 20th at Sam's Pizza in Schofield, from 4-7PM.

Our lives have all been blessed to have had Diane in our lives- she will be deeply missed!!
