Dimas Canales was peacefully born into eternal life on July 3, 2025, age 84 years. Born in Crystal City, Texas on March 26th, 1941 to Lorenzo and Concepcion Martinez and was one of ten children.
Dimas Canales was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pablo Canales Jr., who passed away in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her dear son, Pablo (Sone) Canales III; by her siblings Vidal Martinez, Margarito Martinez, Cain Martinez, Consuelo Martinez; by twins lost at birth, Jose and Guadalupe; and by her parents, Lorenzo Martinez and Concepcion Alcala.
She is survived by her son, Lorenzo (Rick) Canales of Ohio, who is married to Heather Canales. Their children are Tre Canales (married to Courtney Canales), Tre’ci Canales, and Trevor Canales. She is also survived by her daughter, Margarita DeLeon of Wisconsin, whose children are Maria Rodriguez, Diana Chavez (married to Carlos Chavez), Javier DeLeon, Salvador DeLeon, and David De Leon. Her daughter, Alicia Warnke of Wisconsin, is married to Randy Warnke, and they have three children: Osvaldo Warnke, Nailea Curiel (married to Victor de Souza Filipi), and Liv Warnke.
Dimas was blessed with three grandchildren through her late son Pablo (Sone) Canales III and his wife, Sylvia Canales (Garza): Sandra Cantu (married to Juan Cantu), Paul James Canales IV, and Adam Eric Canales.
She was a proud grandmother and leaves behind ten cherished great-grandchildren. Dimas’s legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on through each of them, and she will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Services to be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Public viewing from 12pm-5pm.
