Doilline M. (Johnson) Camden, born February 3, 1930, in Oates, Missouri, was the daughter of Avery and Jewell (Shepard) Johnson. She entered eternal rest July 7, 2025, in Farmington, Missouri, at the age of ninety-five years.
Doilline lived a remarkable life that touched the hearts of all who knew her. On July 3, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ralph Camden who preceded her in death August 14, 2006. Their forty-eight years of marriage together brought them many fond memories.
Doilline worked as a gifted seamstress at Barards Lingerie for many years. Her talents were many; she had a special touch not only in her sewing but also in her garden. She enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing at Montauk State Park, and travelling.
Doilline loved her family. Her commitment to her nieces and nephews was a source of immense joy and pride. She found strength, purpose, and peace in her relationship with the Lord, her faith was evident to everyone who crossed her path. In her later years, she loved attending Salem First Baptist Church and previously fellowshipped with Salem United Baptist Church.
Doilline leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister-in-law: Seba Johnson of Potosi, MO; nieces and nephews: Pauline Dickinson of Bonne Terre, MO, Wendell Johnson and wife Beverly of St. Mary, MO, Regina Gough and husband Charles of Potosi, MO, and Randy Johnson and wife Becky of Camdenton, MO; extended family and dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Ralph Camden; parents: Avery and Jewell (Shepard) Johnson; brothers: Jarvis Johnson and wife Grace, Sonny Johnson and wife Vivian, and Billy Johnson; nephew: Little Billy Johnson; and an infant niece.
As we reflect on Doilline's life, we treasure the memories she gave us, her sweet southern accent, enduring spirit, and the love she freely shared with those around her. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who loved her most.
Funeral Services for Doilline M. (Johnson) Camden were held Monday, July 14, 2025, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Wendell Johnson officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were her loving family. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
