Dolores R. Bauer; age 84, entered heaven to meet her loving Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Covenant Glen, Frankenmuth. Dolores was born on March 15,1941 in Fulda, Minnesota to Henry and Zita (Gehl) Raedeke. She was married to George Bauer on May 19, 1962, in Amelith, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2003, after 40 years of marriage.
Together, they were blessed with two children, Bryan (Kristine) Bauer and Mary (Thomas) Bierlein; five grandchildren, Jacob and Levi Bauer, Abbie (Carson) Moen, and Elizabeth and Mariah Bierlein; and one great grandson, Cade Bauer. Surviving her death are her brother Henry (Susan) Raedeke; sisters Judith (Jim) Block and Marlys (Lavern) Schiefer; brother-in-law Carl Buetow; sister-in-law Judy (Fred) Kern; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, two sisters Sylvia Buetow and Virginia Counselman, and in-laws Elaine (Stanley) Stoick, Fred (Barbara) Bauer, and John (Sue) Bauer.
Dolores was a Registered Nurse at Saginaw General Hospital and Frankenmuth Lutheran Home for many years. Along with helping on the family farm, Dolores enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and reading. She passed down her love of knitting to her three granddaughters. Above all, she cherished time with her family. Dolores loved the Lord and was an active member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Richville for many years. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S Van Buren Rd, Richville, Michigan. The family of Dolores will receive visitors at Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St, Reese, MI on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
