Dolores Irene Finn, 91, of Greenup, IL went home to her lord and savior at 8:52 pm on July 7, 2025, at Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm Noon, on Friday July 11, 2025, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral chapel in Greenup. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery in rural Hidalgo.
Dolores was born on February 1, 1934, in rural Greenup to John Raymond and Mildred Irene (Bell) James. She married Charlie "Hoot" Finn on August 19, 1950, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1977. They were parents of seven children; one son, Scott William Finn preceded her in death; surviving are her sons Jimmy Dale (Arlene) Finn, Alan (Susan) Finn, and Raymond (Danielle) Finn; daughters Carol (Jim) Padrick, Susan Ingram, Cathy (Dale) Kanitz; brothers John James, Lloyd (Janice) James, Doyle (Mari Jane) James; sister Doris Ann Miller; sisters-in-law Donna James and Margorie James; grandchildren Jessica Hougham, Charlie Finn, Lindsey Ingram, Austin Finn, Payton Finn, and Colt Finn; great grandchildren Jenna and Zack Hougham, Lauren, Landon, Leah, and Liberty Finn. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Scott William Finn, brothers Lenoard and Walter James, and sister Mary Louise (John) Oakley.
Dolores and her family were a big part of the Standardbred Horse Racing Community for many years. She had a deep love for her family and helping others. Dolores loved playing Dominoes and putting Jigsaw puzzles together. She was a member of New Hope Church.
A special thank you to the staff at Cumberland Rehab for all their care. She made many friends there.
She was loved by many and always had a hug and a smile.
