Mrs. Dolores Maria Bandy Foley, age 78 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her home. She was born in Roanoke on December 18, 1946 to the late William Lewis Bandy and Georgia Taliaferro Bandy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Oakley Foley; a sister, Martha Jane Baugh; and a brother, Billy Bandy.
Dolores enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Foley is survived by her husband, Lewis Oakley Foley of the home; five children, Jerry Foley (Barbara), Lesia Delancey and Debra Hopkins (Mike), all of Stuart, Michelle Harris (Calvin) of Willis and Stacy Foley (Jennifer) of Mount Airy, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren, JJ Foley, Amy Eggleston (Matt), Taylor Hopkins (Owen Lange), Sydney Hopkins, Madison Hicks (Sam), Morgan Howell (Logan) Mason Harris, Max Harris, Jessica Foley (Jesse Smith), Zachary Foley and Jaylee Foley; two great-grandchildren, Evan Foley and Ocean Foley; six brothers and sisters, Bonnie Dawn Doss (Timmy), Faye Meador, Jennifer Poff (Kevin), Mike Bandy, Sandra Carter and Robert Bandy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Foley Family Cemetery on Pole Bridge Road in Stuart. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
