Donald Joe Adams (85) of Lyford passed away October 4, 2025. at 7:56 AM. Born in Clinton, Indiana to Morris W. Adams and Lois Wilding Adams. He was a retired painter and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He married Patricia Dalton Adams on May 18, 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Carol Russell and his grandson; Zakary Steadman.
He is survived by his wife Patricia. One daughter; Jo Ann Dresden-Dellenger of Kokomo. Two sons; Jim Adams of North Carolina and Jon (Angie) Adams of Indianapolis. Two stepdaughters; Kim Padish and Laura (Scott) Benskin of Clinton. Two stepsons; John Paul (Starla) Wagner of Universal and Danny (Wendy) Wagner of Universal.
Grandchildren; Katlyn (David), Tyler, T.J., Alice, Lucy, Mikaila, Alyssa, Ian, Andrew, Nicholas, Dakota and John. Great grandchildren; Sophie, Coltan, Landan, Lincoln, Benji, A.J., Sammi, and Millie. Niece, Mindy (Tony) Pusateri of San Antonio, TX, and great nieces and nephews; Nicholas, Hannah, Alexandria, veronica, Tommy, Petey and Sofia cousins; Judy (Garry) Cox of Fairview and Karen Waldrop. and his dog, Cali.
Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home, Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jake Guinn officiating. Military services will be prior to the funeral service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to V.N.A. Homecare and Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
