Donald Paul Barrett, 68, a man with a kind heart and a passion for his faith, passed away on July 29, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on February 27, 1957, in Portage, Wisconsin. A majority of his life was dedicated to dairy farming, he was a nutritionist with Garver Feeds and received many awards for his hard work and dedication. He later became a full-time farmer and enjoyed working with his dairy cows. Later in life he worked as a glass handler at Cardinal Glass and then worked at Kwik Trip for many years before finally retiring in 2022.

In his free time Donald was an avid deer hunter and never missed opening day of deer season. He also thoroughly enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and collecting anything Harley.

One of Donald's proudest accomplishments was his unfailing love and devotion to his wife and family. His kindness, encouragement and wisdom were spread everywhere as he loved talking to anyone and everyone he met. Family meant everything to him and one of the things that meant so much to him was becoming a grandpa. He treasured his grandsons like no other.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Deborah (Gerbig) Barrett and their two children Rachel (Jeff) Beedle, and Josh (Tori) Barrett. His mother Deatrice Kolman, his brother Dennis Barrett and his sister Wanda (Bob) Chaulklin.

Donald leaves a legacy of love, kindness and strength that will live on through his 4 cherished grandchildren Gabriel, Josiah, Isaac and Brooks.

Donald Barrett is reunited in heaven with his father Paul Barrett, his grandparents, and many aunts and uncles. Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, the memories of Donald's kindness, wisdom and unselfishness will continue to comfort those whose lives he knowingly and unknowingly touched.

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:
