Donald Gallagher Obituary

Donald Joseph Gallagher passed away peacefully in his home on July 10, 2025. He was born on January 11,1936, in Albany, New York, to Donald J and Rosemary (Martin) Gallagher. Donald grew up in Delmar, New York. He earned his BA in Economics while attending Villanova University. He returned to the Albany area to grow his contractor's business and later relocated to Ballston Spa.
Donald was an avid sports enthusiast throughout his life! He played football for Villanova during his college years. He loved to ski and met Jeri Carr through the ski club. He also loved his New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles and rooting on Villanova in both basketball and football. Donald belonged to the Ballston Spa Country Club, where he was an excellent golfer!
He is predeceased by his domestic partner of 42 years, Jerilyn Carr, and his brothers, Brian and Marty. He is survived by his children, stepdaughter, Lori Beeman (Stan Cerlanek), grandchildren, Mitchell Lamb (Kristiana) and Alexis Smith (Zachary) and his beloved dog, Bridget. He will also be missed by many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 10am to 11am on Friday, July 18, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A brief ceremony will follow at the Ballston Spa Cemetery, Ballston Spa.
