Donald Henry Hickson of Warren, died on July 13, 2025. Less than a day after his 85th birthday. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan by the late Henry and Jesse Hickson. Donald attended and graduated from Mackenzie High School and later played baseball for the Baltimore Orioles farm system. He spent his career life as a window salesman. Dear husband of the late Joyce. Beloved father of Marcia (Derek) Colpaert, Donald H. Hickson II, Jonathan (Briana) Hickson and the late Melissa Hickson. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Dylan, Connor, Addison and Derian. Brother of John (Dottie) Hickson and predeceased by his sisters; Ada Woods and Jean Guthrie. A very social person, Don had an incredible circle of friends dating back to elementary school. They continued to meet up regularly throughout the years. An avid golfer, Don loved the game along with bowling in many leagues. A guy who loved reading, he also enjoyed watching a good movie. A sports enthusiast, Don enjoyed watching the various teams along with playing and coaching baseball when he was younger. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line from 1-8 PM. With a Sharing of Memories at 7 PM.
