Donald Howell Obituary

Donald Howell, age 78, of Canton passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was born November 8, 1946 in West Virginia, he moved to Canton in 1967 and worked for LTV Steel, retiring in 1997 after 30 years.

Don cherished his family and put his children above anything else, teaching them unwavering love, loyalty, and strength. He Loved his dog Presley, fishing, boating, collecting antiques, the Cleveland Browns and watching the lake from his deck. He was never one to turn down a midday "schnack". We will always remember his endless supply of playful teasing and creative nicknames.

Don was preceded in death by parents, Ronald and Anna Mae Howell and brothers, Ronald (Bertha) Howell and George Howell.

Survivors include his children, William (Pamela) Howell, Melissa (Kristopher) Tan, Barbara (Todd) Irwin, and Donald (Stacey) Howell, his life partner, Barb Legg; his former wife, Cinda Howell; grandchildren, Kristen Morris, Syvanna Krumlauf, Taylor Gordon, Jessica Wines, Alexis Howell and Joshua Gordon; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Monday, August 11, 2025 at 12pm at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Calling hours will be Monday prior to the service from 10am to 12pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
