Donald L. Jay, son of Austin E Jay, Sr and Helen M (Sandall) Jay, was born August 11, 1942, in Worth County, Missouri.

Donnie attended and graduated from Worth County School at Grant City, Missouri. On August 3, 1968, he married Darlene Carlock in Albany, Missouri. He farmed southwest of Grant City.

Donnie passed away on July 12, 2025, at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Jacqueline Ann Jay; siblings Loreen Hughes, Marilyn Ruckman, Joan Jones, Kathryn Olney, Austin Jay, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Jay; daughter Shanni (Tim) and son Cody; grandchildren Laura, Hunter, Alyssa, Tyler; great grandson Lucas; sister Jean Verdin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private services will be held at Armstrong Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, give to a charity or cause that is important to you.
