Donald Korwan Obituary

Donald A. Korwan, 94 years old, of Forked River, New Jersey, and Sea Girt, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on 3/15/2025 at Spring Oaks Forked River. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey, to Arthur N. Korwan and Viola (Polley) Korwan on April 1st, 1930.
Don was a graduate of Rutherford High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was retired from the Sea Girt, New Jersey Police Department as Head Dispatcher and Records Officer. Don was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Sons of the American Revolution. He served in the National Guard as E-5 50th Armored Division, 215 Tank Battalion from 1948 to 1956.
Donald's wife recently passed peacefully on February 5, 2025. He is survived by his son, James Korwan, his daughter-in-law, Katherine, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Haley Korwan. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces. Services will be private.
My dad was always able to find a silver lining. He even passed on with a "Donny smile". He loved watching our bands practice at home. The Sea Girt kids used to refer to him as "bubbles". But everyone I've spoken with from peers to police department colleagues all say he was such a great guy.
