Donald "Doncie" Miller, 87, of Milton, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV.
Doncie was born October 4, 1937 in Hanover, WV a son of the late Kara and Irene Morgan Miller. Doncie was a United States army veteran and worked in the coal and trucking industries. While serving in the army Doncie was a life guard, and played baseball and football. He loved sports and loved to golf.
In addition to his parents, Doncie was preceded in death by two brothers, Huey Miller and Ronald Miller; and one son Donald Edwin Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Earnestine Miller of Milton: his children, Rene' and Gary Wingate, Todd and Katrine Miller and Deanna and Randi Lawson; grandchildren, Matthew and Kelsey Wingate, Sidney and Tristan Lomano, Olivia Miller, Audrey Miller, Russell Lawson, Hank Lawson and Katie Lawson; a great grandchild, James Matthew Wingate; and his siblings, Joyce Morgan and husband Arble and Denny Miller and wife Valerie.
Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, Wednesday, July 9, 2025
from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 2 o'clock with Reverend Ronnie Lester and Reverend Arble Morgan officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
