Funeral services for Mr. Donald Edgar Needham, age 86, will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Don was an only child, raised on a family farm, in the Lynnpoint community, west of Bradford. He attended Bradford High School and served 9 years in the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Don was a farmer, mechanic, shop foreman, and car salesman. He retired from Dyer Motor Company in the mid 90's. Mr. Don passed away, surrounded by his family, at Vanayer Nursing Home in Martin on Feb. 5, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Virginia Overton Needham.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Jane Carroll Needham of Greenfield; two sons, Steve (Andrea) Needham and David (Kelly) Needham, both of Bradford; and one daughter, Donna (Robert) Kenyon of Eads, TN.; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Locust Grove Cemetery Socety.
