UNION, WV – Donald Ray Scott, age 83, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Lindside Healthcare Center in Lindside, WV. Born November 27, 1941, in Hillsboro, WV, he was the son of the late Ray Franklin Scott and Margie Wilfong Scott.
Donald worked for Sibold Excavating for more than 20 years, where he enjoyed driving trucks and different types of equipment. He loved farming and worked as farm manager for multiple farms in the area. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Darrell, Hubert, Clyde, Raymond, and Dover Scott; and two sisters, Ellen Falkenberg and Opal Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of more than 44 years, Pamela Wickline Scott; daughter, Heather Scott; sister, Lida Anderson of Ocala, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Minister Christoper Canterbury officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
