Donald "Don" Eldon Seitz Sr., age 76, of Leesburg, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Bethesda North Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 25, 1949, in East Monroe, Ohio, the son of the late Howard "Pete" Seitz and Minerva (Houck) Seitz.

A proud graduate of Greenfield McClain High School, Don spent his working years at Huhtamaki before retiring. Known as a true jack of all trades, he found joy in working as an electrician, woodworking, farming, and especially riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle-the open road bringing him peace and happiness.

At home, Don shared many hobbies with his beloved wife, Jo, including cooking, gardening, and canning. His days were often brightened by conversations with friends on his handheld CB radio, sharing stories and laughter with people from near and far. He also had a sweet tooth for strawberry milkshakes and chocolate cake, though nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with his family-especially spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Don's steady presence, warm heart, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Winifred "Jo" Seitz of Leesburg; four children, Lisa (Donald) Brewer of New Vienna, Donald (Desiree) Seitz Jr. of Lynchburg, Howard "Marty" (Jennifer) Seitz of Sabina, and Tracy Vance of Sabina; eight grandchildren, Tommy Seitz, Michael Seitz, Brandon (Samantha) Seitz, Jessica (Justin) Hupp, Katy Seitz, Bethanie Vance, Heather (Jeremy) Culp, and Abigail Seitz; two great granddaughters and one great grandson; one brother, Robert Seitz of Greenfield, and several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dave Seitz and Paul Seitz, and a son-in-law, Dale Vance.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 29, 2025, at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Funeral service will take place following visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
