Donald Paul Weston, 68, of West Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home.
Donald was born on June4, 1957, in Benton, to James and Wilma (Summers) Weston. He was united in marriage to Kathy Orr in Benton, on February 14, 2018. They've shared 7 years of marriage together.
Donald was a 1975 graduate of West Frankfort High School and continued his education at Rend Lake College in Ina, where he earned his Coal Mining certificate. He later went on to John A. Logan College in Carterville. Donald was retired having been employed in maintenance at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon.
Donald loved his family, and was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband. He also enjoyed restoring old cars, golfing, bowling, keeping up with the St. Louis Cardinals and loved going to old rock concerts. Donald had a heart for animals and loved his three cats. He also enjoyed feeding the squirrels.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Weston of West Frankfort; children, Angela Weston of Johnston City, Andrew Weston of West Frankfort, and John Weston of West Frankfort; two grandchildren, Bailey Weston of Johnston City and Ellie Weston of Herrin; siblings, Patricia Wheeler of Olney and Kim Smith of Elgin. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, David Weston, Jimmy Smith, James Weston and Robert Smith.
A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
