Donna Bowman Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jul. 23 to Jul. 31, 2025.
Graveside services for Donna Kay Bowman, 69, of Monroe, LA formerly of Clayton, LA will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez, MS on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11AM, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Donna was born on October 23, 1955 in Ferriday, LA and passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025 at her home. She was a member of Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church and adored her church family and loved the choir. Donna was a simple, kind-hearted woman who lived life to the fullest. Donna spent her career with Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries, where her deep love for animals shone every day. Nature brought her peace, but her greatest joy came from her family. Donna's heart was always open, her home always warm. She found happiness in life's simple moments-laughing with loved ones, enjoying quiet mornings, and watching wildlife in its natural beauty. Donna was an animal lover and they were her "children". Though humble in her ways, her love and presence made a big impact. Donna's life was one of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved most.
She is reunited with her parents, Aaron Charles Bowman, Sr. and Virginia Cheatham Bowman; brother, Aaron Charles Bowman, Jr.; and sister, Linda Sue Bowman.
Those left behind to cherish Donna's memories are her cousins, extended family, church family, friends, and her beloved fur babies.
Those honoring Donna as pallbearers will be her family.
In lieu of flowers the family request, that donations be made to Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church 4390 Old Sterlington Rd Monroe, LA 71203, an Animal Shelter of your choice, or LA Wildlife & Fisheries in Monroe, LA in memory of Donna.
